Craft-Bamboo Racing signs Demoustier for

Craft-Bamboo Racing is returning to the FIA World Touring Car Championship in 2015 and has signed Grégoire Demoustier to drive its Chevrolet RML Cruze TC1 with backing from EURODATACAR.

After guiding James Nash to third in the overall WTCC standings and the prestigious Yokohama Drivers’ Trophy under the Bamboo Engineering banner in 2013, the British team took a year-long sabbatical from the championship. But it’s back in 2015 with GT racer Demoustier, having also rekindled its technical partnership with RML.

“I’m delighted to announce our return to the WTCC and to be working with Grégoire," said Craft-Bamboo Racing CEO Richard Coleman. “We are limited in our preparation time but hope to be in good shape for Argentina. I am very happy to renew our relationship with RML. We are only down the road from each other and have had five years working together in touring cars. We are still working hard on a second car and hope to expand the line up.”

WTCC General Manager François Ribeiro welcomed Craft-Bamboo Racing’s entry for 2015: “Eurosport Events is delighted to see Craft-Bamboo Racing coming back to WTCC. Their track record speaks for itself and we never stayed too far away from Richard since the end of 2013. Given Grégoire’s GT background at ART, we are certain he will feel comfortable at Craft-Bamboo Racing. We look forward to see him on the grid and welcome him to WTCC.”
