Huff to live a classic dream
"It will be challenging flitting between four very different cars"
Rob Huff will ‘live the dream’ while piloting an array of historic racecars in an unforgettable weekend of motorsport at the Silverstone Classic, on 25-27 July.
‘Huffy’ is no stranger to the historic racing scene, having competed in a magnificent array of historic racing machinery since the very beginning of his career in some of the world’s biggest and most prestigious motorsport events, such as the Goodwood Revival, Historic Masters Festival and Silverstone Classic.
At the Silverstone Classic, Huff will return for another crack at Sir John Whitmore Trophy for Under two-litre Touring Cars in Des Smail’s Mini Cooper S, but will also pilot two other British icons in the form of a Lotus Cortina and a stunning Austin Healey, plus a Ford Mondeo from the final year of the British Touring Car Championship’s spectacular Super Touring era.
“I’m so looking forward to getting my hands on these incredible cars at the Silverstone Classic,” said Huff. “It will be challenging flitting between four very different cars, but I’ve spent my entire career adapting and have been able to jump from one car to the next seamlessly. I’m sure it’s going to be a lot of fun. I’m looking forward to racing the Prodrive-designed Super Touring Ford Mondeo, which I regard as my most favourite touring car of all time.”
